Asterisks designate nodes with pp ≥ 0.95 (from Bayesian inference, shown as percentages) and bootstrap (maximum likelihood) ≥ 90. Nodes without values had pp ≤0.90 and bootstrap ≤70. Species names on tree reflect the nomenclatural changes proposed herein, with older names for the affected taxa as follows: 1 = Megaerops wetmorei, 2 = Epomops dobsonii, 3 = Micropteropus pusillus, 4 = Melonycteris woodfordi, 5 = Melonycteris fardoulisi.
