The biostratigraphical ranges, geographical distribution and taxonomy of 45 dinoflagellate cyst species are described based on the analysis of 99 samples from the Upper Cenomanian—Lower Turonian outcrop sections of Puentedey, Fuentetoba, Condemios and Tamajón in northern Spain. A specific rank for Coronifera hebospina (formerly Coronifera oceanica subsp. hebospina) and the new combination Exochosphaeridium majus are proposed. The generic assignment of Implestosphaeridium? clavulum and Implestosphaeridium? polytrichum are questioned. Early Turonian range tops for Coronifera albertii, Cyclonephelium vannophorum and Palaeohystrichophora palaeoinfusa are confirmed.
