Abstract

Aloe condyae is described as a new species endemic to the upper sandstone cliffs of the Drakensberg Mountains, South Africa. It belongs to section Leptoaloe A. Berger, and is related to Aloe nubigena Groenewald, from which it is distinguished by its ascending to ascendingspreading stems and dense leaf rosettes with distinctly denticulate leaf margins.
