Abstract

We report the first record of Hemilea malaisei Hering in India from Kashmir. In August 2015, one female specimen was found on a wild cherry plant (Prunus avium L.: Rosales: Rosaceae) at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir; the actual host plant is unknown. Information on the morphology and distribution of this species is provided.
