1 September 2009 Contributions to the Lichen Flora of Pennsylvania. — Further New and Interesting Reports of Lichens and lichenicolous Fungi

Abstract

The following species are reported for the first time from Pennsylvania: Chaenotheca chrysocephala, Cladonia brevis, C. crispata, C. farinacea, C. floridana, Cystocoleus ebeneus, Diplotomma alboatrum, Fuscidea recensa, Lecanora semipallida, Lecidea auriculata, Melanelia panniformis, M. sorediata, Mycoblastus sanguinarius, Parmelia omphalodes, Parmotrema gardneri, Phaeosporobolus alpinus, Porpidia contraponenda, Thrombium epigaeum, and Umbilicaria deusta. Modern populations of the following species are reported, and records of their historical occurrences are discussed: Cladonia atlantica, C. mitis, C. stellaris, Parmeliopsis hyperopia, and Porpidia soredizodes.
