Mannia californica (Aytoniaceae) is a rare species in China, and only recognized from Sichuan and Yunnan Province. In this study, we first report this species in eastern China (Zhejiang Province). Descriptions, illustrations, and taxonomic notes based on the newly collected plants are provided. An updated key to the taxa of Mannia in China is also given.

Mannia californica (Aytoniaceae) ist in China eine seltene Art, die nur aus den Provinzen Sichuan und Yunnan bekannt ist. In dieser Studie berichten wir erstmals über das Vorkommen dieser Art in Ostchina (Provinz Zhejiang). Es werden Beschreibungen, Abbildungen und taxonomische Hinweise auf der Grundlage des neu gesammelten Materials vorgelegt. Ein aktualisierter Schlüssel zu den Taxa von Mannia in China wird ebenfalls gegeben.
