In order to adjust the existing economic structure of the marine industry, strengthen the structural characteristics and promote the rapid development of the marine industry economy, a study on the change characteristics of the economic structure of the marine industry is proposed based on the principle of information entropy. Based on the gray correlation analysis and location entropy analysis, combined with the principle of leading industry selection, under the premise of maintaining the continuous growth of the three marine industries, the structure of the three marine industries is constantly optimized. We will continue to consolidate the three major marine pillar industries and develop such industries as marine oil and gas, marine salt industry, marine chemical industry and marine biomedicine. At the same time of technological transformation of traditional marine industry, we should speed up the development of marine emerging industries, especially marine strategic emerging industries. The experimental results show that the proposed study on the characteristics of the change of the economic structure of marine industry based on the principle of information entropy has better research results and higher efficiency of the characteristics analysis.
