At present, many coastal cities in China have successively completed the basic construction of cruise ports, and based on the city's development and competitive advantage, they have created their own Cruise Port characteristic services. In order to compare the comprehensive competitiveness of these cruise ports, evaluation model is constructed using factor analysis method. Firstly, the construction principle of the evaluation index system is explained. Secondly, the principal component analysis method is employed to quantify the influencing factors and calculate the importance degree, and then the principal component factors are extracted. Finally, the evaluation of the competitiveness of six typical coastal cruise ports are carried out. The results show that the competitiveness Value and ranking of six coastal port cities in China are obtained, and the main influencing factors are revealed and corresponding solutions are put forward.
