Abstract

Biographical information is provided for Dr. Jules Desneux, prominent entomologist of the early 20^th Century who contributed not only considerably to the study of termites (Isoptera) but also to our knowledge of Paussidae (Coleoptera), ancient Greek numismatics, art criticism from a scientific perspective, as well as his professional field of dermatology.
