Abstract

We report two new records of gynandromorph bees: Heriades carinata Cresson, 1864 the first reported record of a gynandromorph in the genus and the first of the species Dianthidium pudicum pudicum (Cresson, 1879) (Megachilidae) and include descriptions, images, and 3D scans of both specimens. We also provide images and a 3D scan of the first Dianthidium gynandromorph originally reported by Hicks (1926), D. curvatum sayi Cockerell, 1907. We CT scanned each specimen, though these scans did not reveal any internal morphological structures.
