Abstract

Syntypes of fourspecies of bivalve molluscs — Nucula laternaria Valenciennes, 1846; Nucula amygdalea Valenciennes, 1846; and Nucula oeolica Valenciennes, 1846, all Yoldiidae; and Cardium californiense Deshayes, 1839, Cardiidae — collected from Kamchatka during the historic voyage of the Vénus (1836–1839), are illustrated and their taxonomic status and distribution are discussed.
