^*Seikuti Nohro completed her B.Sc. in Plant Biology and Plant Biotechnology from Women's Christian College, Chennai in 2011. She received her Master degree from the department of Ecology and Environmental Sciences, Pondicherry University in 2013. She joined the same University in 2013 and is currently pursuing her PhD in Palynology.
^**Samir K. Bera was awarded a B.Sc (Hons.) in Botany from the University of Calcutta in 1976, M.Sc. in Botany from University of Burbwan in 1978 and a PhD from the University of Lucknow in 1989. He is a Scientist ‘F’ (Retd.) at Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeosciences in Lucknow working a SERB-DST project on the Palaeoclimatology based on pollen proxy of Northeast Indian reserve forests. He has years of 34 years research experience and has published more than 100 research papers in a peer-reviewed National and International Journals. He has visited Antarctica twice (1999–2001) and has supervised several research scholars.

^****Shanmuganathan Jayakumar completed his B.Sc. in Botany from A.V.C. College, Bharathidasan University, Mayiladuthurai, Tamil Nadu (1990–1993) and M.Sc. in Botany from ST. Joseph's College, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India (1993–1995). He was awarded a PhD from Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India on October 2003 and pursued his post-doctoral research at Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea (2007–2009). He is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Dept. Ecology & Environmental Sciences, School of Life Sciences, Pondicherry University, Puducherry. His area of research is mainly in these fields – Remote Sensing, Geographical Information System (GIS), Biodiversity characterization, Forest Ecology, Natural resources assessment and management, Land cover dynamics and modeling, Carbon inventory and modeling, Climate change impact assessment and modeling, Environmental informatics. He has supervised 2 research scholars and currently has 6 ongoing research scholars. He has also authored and co-authored 57 research articles in reputed Journals.
