^*Khencha Aran is currently pursuing a PhD in the Department of Botany, Cotton University, Assam, India. She has a BSc in Botany (Honors, 2015) from North East Hill University Meghalaya and a Gold Medalist in MSc botany (2017) from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore, India. Her area of specialization is plant taxonomy.
^**Himu Roy is an assistant professor in the Department of Botany of Cotton University, Assam. He is interested in plant taxonomy and specialized in pteridophyte and angiosperm taxonomy. He has a BSc, MSc and PhD from Gauhati University, Assam, India. He has authored 27 research papers of international and national repute and published seven book chapters, and also co- edited a book.
^***Prem Lal Uniyal is a Senior Professor in the Department of Botany, University of Delhi, Delhi. He has an MSc from HNB Garhwal University, Srinagar, Uttarakhand, and a PhD in botany from Panjab University, Chandigarh, and has been teaching for the past 27 years. He is trained in bryology and specialized in the biology of archegoniates. His other areas of research are conservation biology, gametophyte development and reproductive biology of ferns, population biology of conifers, biology of podostemaceae and biological activity of lichens. His research group has discovered a new taxon of mosses and ephedra from India. He organized a few conservative programs with indigenous societies in Himachal Pradesh. He has published four books; more than 105 original research papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals; 35 review articles in proceedings, books and scientific magazines; and 25 popular scientific articles.
