Abstract

A principal pest of maize, Zea mays L., in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico, is the fall armyworm, Spodoptera frugiperda (J.E. Smith). There is only one report of Tachinidae (Archytas spp.) parasitizing fall armyworm larvae. In the present work, we reported for the first time Distichona auriceps Coquillett and Hypovoria discalis (Brooks) parasitizing 1.8 and 0.92%, respectively, of S. frugiperda larvae in maize at Guanajuato, México.
