Abstract

Two new mite species, Brachytydeus turkiyensis sp. nov. Laniecka et Akyazı (Tydeinae) and Ueckermanniella pruni sp. nov. Kaźmierski et Altunç (Pronematinae) are described from Türkiye. The former was found on Prunus domestica L., whereas the latter on P. avium L., P. domestica L. and Cornus mas L. One specimen of B. turkiyensis shows an interesting example of morphological anomaly (doubled dorsal seta). The study adds to the knowledge of tydeoid mite fauna of Türkiye.
