Ctenothrips nonnae Haga & Okajima, 1989 is newly recorded in China, and the male is described and illustrated for the first time. Diagnostic morphological characters and intraspecific variations of this species are discussed. A partial sequence of mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase I gene is provided.
