Abstract

Ivierhipidius Barclay, 2015 is a genus of little modified ripiphorids. Ivierhipidius monneorum Barclay, 2015 was described based on five specimens from the Corcovado, the famous site of the Christ Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, southern Brazil. To this date, the species is published only from the type location and type specimens. This paper provides a new distributional record for the species (in Ilha Grande, Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro State), along with a map of its distribution.
