8 February 2025 Five New Records and Interesting Records for the Turkish Miridae Fauna (Heteroptera)

Abstract

A total of 810 specimens were examined in this study, and 74 species from five subfamilies within the family Miridae were recorded in Çankırı. Additionally, Anapus kirschbaumi Stål, 1858, Malacotes abeillei Ribaut, 1932, Globiceps (Kelidocoris) monticolus Linnavuori, 2006, and Myrmecophyes (Plumiger) nasutus Drapolyuk, 1989 were identified as new records for the fauna of Türkiye. The species Cyphodema humbaba Linnavuori, 1984, Polymerus (Polymerus) holosericeus (Hahn, 1831), Leptopterna euxina Vinokurov, 1982, Halticus pusillus (Herrich-Schaeffer, 1835), and Mecomma pervinius Önder, 1974 represent the second record for Türkiye and the first record for Central Anatolia. Adelphocoris insignis Horváth, 1898 was recorded for the first time in Anatolia. Moreover, the locality of Miris striatus (Linnaeus, 1758) was documented for the first time in this study. Finally, Calocoris roseomaculatus saucius Linnavuori, 1951 and Phytocoris varipes Boheman, 1852 were identified as the third record for Türkiye.
