Abstract

We present the first formal record of the white‐sided jackrabbit (Lepus callotis) for the Mexican state of Querétaro. We spotted 2 adult individuals in an agricultural grassland in Amealco de Bonfil and photographed them with a DSLR camera. This record adds to the limited information on this species and reinforces the need for further studies and conservation efforts.
