Based on our ongoing studies of the bryophyte flora of Ecuador we report fifteen liverwort species new to the country: Cheilolejeunea ornata, Drepanolejeunea integribracteata, Frullania lindenbergii, Kymatocalyx rhizomatica, Lejeunea corynantha, Leptoscyphus cleefii, L. spectabilis, Plagiochila bicuspidata, P. cuatrecasii, P. priceana, Radula xalapensis, Symphyogyna trivittata, Syzygiella burghardtii, S. contigua and S. trigonifolia. Notes are provided on the distribution, habitat and taxonomic differentiation of the species. Plagiochila priceana and Syzygiella burghardtii are new to science and Plagiochila inouei is a new synonym of P. bicuspidata. Keys are presented to northern Andean species of Leptoscyphus and Syzygiella.

Porella biedermannii from the Región del Maule in central Chile is described and illustrated. The species is characterized by ovate leaf lobes with curved inwards apices and dentate or appendiculate ventral base, obliquely inserted, oblong-ovate leaf lobules with distinctly reflexed apices and dentate margins, underleaves with distinctly reflexed apices and dentate margins, and stem surfaces covered with numerous filiform paraphyllia. The paper also reports 22 species of liverworts and two hornworts as new from the Región del Maule, and three liverwort species as new from Región Coquimbo of central Chile.

A collection made by Hans-Joachim Zündorf between 2004 and 2014 in Georgia was studied, comprising 383 specimens of orthotrichaceous mosses from 105 different localities. The study yielded a total 27 species in this group: seven species of Lewinskya, two of Nyholmiella, 13 of Orthotrichum, one of Pulvigera as well as four species of Ulota. Ten species are new records for the bryophyte flora of Georgia: Lewinskya sordida, L. vladikavkana, Nyholmiella gymnostoma, Orthotrichum consobrinum, O. hispanicum, O. patens, O. philibertii, O. stellatum, Ulota coarctata and U. intermedia. Our records of Orthotrichum hispanicum, O. stellatum and Ulota intermedia are also the first for the wider Caucasus region. The number of known species of the tribe Orhotricheae in Georgia has thus been raised to 30. The diversity of species in this group is very similar to the neighboring region of NE Turkey. The high number of species encountered during the study reveals Georgia as a very important area for Orthotrichaceae.

The Antarctic subendemic moss species Didymodon gelidus Cardot has been considered to be identical to the Holarctic D. brachyphyllus (Sull.) R.H.Zander. On the basis of a detailed analysis of the type and very many non-type specimens of the two species, the reinstatement of species rank for D. gelidus is proposed. Diagnostic characters of D. gelidus and its distinction from some closely related species, with which it may be confused, are discussed and illustrated. The species that shares all taxonomically important characters with D. gelidus is the Antarctic endemic Barbula byrdii E.B.Bartram and consequently the names of these two species are considered synonymous, the former having priority.

We present the first records for Paraguay for 24 species of bryophytes (one hornwort, eight liverworts and 15 mosses). Another 47 new regional records enhance the list of bryodiversity for the departments of Alto Paraguay, Alto Paraná, Amambay, Caaguazú, Canindeyú, Central, Concepción, Cordillera, Paraguarí, Presidente Hayes and one new record for the capital district, Asunción.

One hundred species and 19 genera (Aneura, Apopellia, Asterella, Calypogeia, Cryptolophocolea, Cylindrocolea, Fossombronia, Haplomitrium, Jackiella, Megaceros, Metacalypogeia, Mnioloma, Nardia, Neolepidozia, Nowellia, Odontoschisma, Saccogynidium, Schiffneria, and Syzygiella) are newly added to the liverwort and hornwort flora of Vietnam. A revised checklist of liverworts and hornworts in Vietnam, including 430 species in 79 genera is presented based on literature and the present additions.

We present 25 new moss records for the Falkland Islands, together with vouchers for three names previously reported for the archipelago without specimen citation, based on recent collections made by the authors in several localities throughout the Falkland Archipelago. Voucher information together with habitat details are given for each of the taxa mentioned. With these new additions, the moss flora of the Falkland Islands rises to 185 taxa.
