With the development of information technology and the arrival of the era of big data, marine geographic information systems are increasingly inseparable from the analysis and research of big data. Marine geographic information systems based on big data have an important significance and role for the analysis of the laws and values behind the data. These systems analyze and process ocean data to better serve the national marine information strategy. In addition, marine geographic information systems based on big data can process geological information, improve the research level of marine researchers, and give full play to the economic benefits of the ocean. This article introduces the application of big data in marine geographic information systems, then analyzes the advantages of marine geographic information sharing platforms, that is, application, and finally constructs a marine geographic information system based on big data.
