Mangrove ecotourism has become a choice for use by local communities, such as at the research location. The aim of this paper is to assess the relationship between knowledge and perception and participation of local communities regarding the benefits of mangrove ecosystems from a conservation perspective. The research method uses survey, questionnaire, Snowball and FGD methods. The results of this research show 70.34% - 81.33%. Local people have a deep understanding of mangroves, and have a positive correlation with their perceptions of mangrove ecotourism. Furthermore, this research found a positive correlation between community perceptions and participation in mangrove ecotourism programs for conservation purposes. Meanwhile, community participation is more dependent on their work which is related to the benefits of mangrove ecotourism. However, they contribute They support this project in various ways, from project planning to active ceremonies in every program related to the development of mangrove ecotourism for conservation purposes, such as; mangrove planting, environmental cleanliness, and mangrove environmental safety. The conclusion of this research is that the mangrove ecotourism development program provides significant opportunities for local community support, and in restoring the condition of the mangrove environment for sustainability.
