Uroderma magnirostrumDavis, 1968, the Brown Tent-making Bat, is a medium-sized frugivorous phyllostomid. It is characterized by poorly defined facial and dorsal stripes, large bifid upper inner incisors, and a laterally expanded mesethmoid bone. Uroderma magnirostrum is widely distributed between western Mexico and southeastern Brazil, and across its distribution, it inhabits different types of environments (e.g., pristine tropical forests; farmlands; mangroves; savannas; urban green areas). It is listed as “Least Concern” (LC) by the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources but appears in national red lists, such as those from Guatemala and Nicaragua, due to the significant impact of the human activities in these countries.

U. magnirostrum é caracterizado por listras faciais e dorsais pouco definidas, incisivos internos superiores grandes e bífidos e osso mesetmoide expandido lateralmente. Ao longo da sua distribuição, essa espécie ocupa diferentes tipos de ambientes (e.g., florestas tropicais intocadas; terras agrícolas; manguezais; savanas; áreas verdes urbanas). É listada como “Menos Preocupante” pela International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources, mas aparece como ameaçada na Guatemala e na Nicarágua, devido ao significante impacto das atividades humanas nesses países.
