The entomopathogenic nematode Heterorhabditis indica Poinar, Karunakar & David (Rhabditida: Heterorhabditidae) was reported for the first time as a natural parasite of the sugarcane weevil, Sphenophorus incurrens Gyllenhal (Coleoptera: Curculionidae), in sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.) fields in Mexico.
