Amphotrombium jenseni Zhang gen. & sp. nov. (Acari: Parasitengona) is described from a larva collected on an adult Fimbriaphis (Homoptera: Aphidae) feeding on Streptopus (Liliaceae) in Linn County, Oregon, USA. Stardand notations for Acariformes designated by F. Grandjean were adapted and applied in the description. A new family, Amphotrombiidae is proposed for accommodating this genus. A key to superfamilies of larval Parasitengona is provided.
