A new species, Micronella najtae n. sp. is described. It has the following combination of characters: six sensilla on antennal segment IV, sensory organ of antennal segment III with two inner sensory “clubs”, 7–8 vesicles in postantennal organ, unguis without inner tooth and ratio of ordinary chaetae: sensory chaetae on abdominal tergites I–III as 1: 2.3–2.6. The dorsal chaetotaxy places the new species in an isolated position in the genus. An identification key to the five species of the genus Micronella Arlé, 1959 is given.

A new Frieseinae Massoud, 1967 semi-aquatic species, Friesea najtae n. sp., is described from southern Western Australia. The new species can be distinguished from all other Friesea Dalla Torre, 1895 species by the combination of 8 8 eyes, six anal spines without papillae on abdomen VI, absence of capitate chaetae on the abdomen and no capitate tenent hairs on tibiotarsi and fully developed furcula (stage 1–2). Barcode (mtDNA - COI) sequence is provided.

Stachorutes najtae n. sp. is described from the interstitial sand dunes of central Italy. It has 4 4 eyes with a postantennal organ composed of 7–9 simple vesicles and the furcal dens with six chaetae. Stachorutes najtae n. sp. appears closely related to S. gracilis Smolis & Shvejonkova, 2006 from which it can be separated by the different chaetotaxy of the dens and legs.

One new species belonging to the genus Neanura MacGillivray, 1893 was found during taxonomic investigations of Tatra Mts, the highest mountain range in the Carpathians. Neanura judithae n. sp. is characterized by the conspicuous reduction of chaetotaxy on dorsal side of the body. It is closely related to the sympatric species N. parva (Stach, 1951), from which it differs in having a non-ogival labrum (vs ogival in N. parva) and complete fusion of tubercles Di on the abdominal segment V(vs incomplete in N. parva). Furthermore, the new species is distinguished by absence of chaetae De3 on abdominal terga I-III and 2 2 chaetae Di on abdomen V. An illustrated description and short remarks on the ecology of N. judithae n. sp. are presented. Additionally, data on morphology of all known species of the genus are also provided in the key.

A new diagnosis of Americanura Cassagnau, 1983 is done and a discussion on the genus' morphology is presented. A new species of the genus, from Chiapas State, Mexico, is described and illustrated; it is characterized by the fusion and reduction of the antenno-frontal tubercle and the highest reduction of its setae. A complement to the description of A. mexicana Cassagnau, 1983 is done including the morphological variation.

We redefine the genus Yuukianura Yosii, 1955, and we give an updated list of its nine species. Four of these species initially described in other genera are transferred to Yuukianura: Lobella (Lobella) yasudai Yosii, 1966, Lobella pacifica Yosii, 1971, Protanura Bellinger & Christiansen, 1974, and Pseudocolonavis rosea Kim & Lee, 2000. Two species described as Yuukianura (Yuukianura cavicola Yosii, 1956 and Y. nomurai Yosii, 1956) are considered as Lobellini incertae sedis. A new species, Yuukianura judithae n. sp., is described from Santo Island in Vanuatu, Melanesia. It differs from other species of the genus by a combination of characters including total lack of eyes, two chaetae on the ocular tubercle (Ocp absent), (5 5) dorsal chaetae on Th. I, (3 S) chaetae in chaetal group DL of Th. II–III, two chaetae in group Di of Abd. I–IV (Di3 absent) and untoothed claw. The species also shows three characters unusual for Neanurinae Boerner, 1901: a strong reduction of tibiotarsal chaetotaxy, the absence of macrochaeta De1 on Abd. I–IV and the presence of conspicuous buttonhole structures dorsally on head, Abd. I and Abd. IV. The new species occurs in both forest and cave habitats, not in mangrove or seashore habitats, in contrast to most members of the genus. In caves, it often lives in large number on guano piles of bats or swiftlets, and is the first record of a Neanuridae Yosii, 1956 in such an habitat.

A new species Oligaphorura judithnajtae n. sp., from Shigawatari Do Cave, Akka Iwaizumi, Japan is described and illustrated. The new species is exceptional by the presence of ventral pseudocelli on abdominal segments I–IV, the large size of s-microchaetae (ms) on antennae and thoracic terga II and III, by the long, thin body macrochaetae and by the build of furcal remnant. Oligaphorura judithnajtae n. sp. seems to be most similar to O. duocellata Babenko & Fjellberg, 2015 but can be distinguished from that species as the first thoracic segment has one pso (two pso in duocellata), the presence of one pso on each subcoxae (2,2,3 pso in duocellata) and by the PAO with one four-lobed vesicle (three-lobed in duocellata).

Sensiphorura tiunovi n. sp., S. anichkini n. sp. and Cephalachorutes judithae n. sp. are described from monsoon tropical forests of Cat Tien National Park of Southern Vietnam. The first species differs from congeners (S. marshalli Rusek, 1976, S. oligoseta Bu, Potapov & Gao 2013, and Sensiphorura anichkini n. sp.) by the absence of microsensillum on metathorax. Both new species of Sensiphorura Rusek, 1976 differ from known species by details in dorsal chaetom. Cephalachorutes judithae n. sp. is characterized by the following combination of characters: absence of eyes, large S3 and S4 sensilla on antennal organ III and five chaetae on dens.

Nouvelles espèces de Collemboles des genres Sensiphorura Rusek, 1976 (Pachytullbergiidae) et Cephalachorutes Bedos & Deharveng, 1991 (Neanuridae) du Vietnam méridional.

Sensiphorura tiunovi n. sp., Sensiphorura anichkini n. sp. et Cephalachorutes judithae n. sp. sont décrites des forêts tropicales humides du Parc national de Cat Tie, Vietnam méridional. La première espèce diffère des autres espèces du genre (S. marshalli Rusek, 1976, S. oligoseta Bu, Potapov & Gao 2013, et Sensiphorura anichkini n. sp.) par l'absence de microsensille sur le métathorax. Les deux nouvelles espèces de Sensiphorura Rusek, 1976 diffèrent des autres espèces connues par le patron de chaetotaxie dorsale. Cephalachorutes judithae n. sp. est caractérisée par la combinaison suivante de caractères : yeux absents, sensilles S3 et S4 sur l'organe antennaire III de grande taille, et cinq soies sur la dens.

Intensive collecting for the All-Taxa Biodiversity Inventory in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, United States, yielded many specimens of Arlea judithnajtae n. sp. (Collembola: Isotomidae). This new species differs from other species of Arlea Womersley, 1939 in having a combination of smooth setae, seven large sensilla on Ant. IV, dorsal sensilla of Th. II-III and Abd. I-III in middle setal rows and inconspicuous sensilla on Abd. V. It is most similar to A. psammophila Mendonça, Abrantes & Fernandes, 2006 but that species has eight or nine Ant. IV sensilla and has the dorsal thoracic and abdominal sensilla in the posterior row of setae. A key is provided for separation of known Arlea species. Arlea judithnajtae n. sp. is the first member of its genus reported from a non-Gondwanan continent (North America), suggesting that the southern Appalachian region of North America has been a refugium for otherwise extinct taxa. Alternatively, it may have been previously overlooked due to its small size and close resemblance to other white, eyeless isotomids.

Folsomia najtae n. sp. is described from the southern part of Sikhote-Alin Range (Far East, Russia). It is characterized by 6 6 ommatidia, a full set of ms-chaetae on body tergites, long accp3 s-chaetae on the fifth abdominal segment, four posterior chaetae on dens, and dimorphism of juvenile specimens. The properties that define the ‘mobile’ form are protruding cornea of ommatidia and tuberous long dens. The closely related species F. orientalis Martynova, 1977 and F. setula Christiansen & Tucker, 1977 are redescribed basing on the material from North-East of Asia and East of North America, respectively.

Two new species of cavernicolous Collembola belonging to genera Pygmarrhopalites Vargovitsh, 2009 and Pseudosinella Schäffer, 1897 from “Cueva del Saliente” (Almería, Spain) are described: Pygmarrhopalites crepidinis Jordana & Baquero, n. sp. is characterized by trichobothria A, B and C forming a straight line towards posterior end; Ant. IV with five subsegments; all claws with inner tooth, all empodia with corner tooth, and empodial filaments surpassing tip of corresponding claw; anterior lobe of tenaculum with two apical chaetae; dens with 3, 2, 1,…, 1 anterior chaetae, and one external posterior spine. Pseudosinella najtae Jordana & Baquero, n. sp. is characterized by the absence of eyes; chaetotaxy R0R1R2011/10/0100 2, Abd. IV accessory chaeta s absent, all claws with four teeth, paired teeth at different level (41 and 52% of claw length from basis), all empodia with serrate external edge, labrum with all chaetae ciliated; labium posterior without M1, with M2rEL1L2, r smooth microchaetae; remaining of labial chaetae (both posterior and anterior) ciliated. In addition one other species was found in the same cave: Troglopedetes absoloni (Bonet, 1931). The explorations of this cave have been carried out by the second author. The “Cueva del Saliente” is part of a study on cave fauna in Andalusia. In this cave a total of 4453 specimens (38 taxa) have been captured during an annual sampling period (October 2012 to August 2013).

The morphological diversity of the Neotropical Cearacesaini Koçak & Kemal, 2010 (Grylloidea, Gryllidae, Hapithinae) is still poorly attested as it is known by only two genera very different in shape and morphology. A new genus and two new species are described: Najtaecesa aratayensis n. gen., n. sp., the type species of Najtaecesa n. gen., from French Guiana, and N. loretensis n. gen., n. sp. from Eastern Peru. Najtaecesa n. gen. is characterized by its very small size, trigonidiine-like body shape, and male genitalia.

Ligypterus najtae n. sp., a new species of Neotropical Eneopterinae Saussure, 1874 cricket, is described from Mounts Tumuc-Humac in French Guiana. Description focusses on general morphology, male and female genitalia, and forewing venation. Bioacoustical analyses of the calling song reveal that this species uses high-frequency signals.
